In short: EarnTracker is built so that your data stays on your computer. Credentials are stored exclusively and locally by your operating system – in the Keychain on macOS and in Credential Manager on Windows – and sign-in happens directly between your device and the respective service. There are no user accounts with us, no advertising, no third-party tracking and no sale of data.
The controller responsible for the processing of data in connection with the EarnTracker app and this website is:

EarnTracker is purely an overview app for macOS and Windows. By far the largest part of all data is processed and stored exclusively and locally on your computer. There is no user account with us, and we operate no central servers on which your personal content would be stored.
When you set up a service, you may enter the username and password for that service. These credentials are stored encrypted in your operating system's credential store on your device – in the Keychain on macOS and in Credential Manager on Windows. They are not transmitted to us and leave your device only towards the respective service in order to sign you in there (see section 4).
For some services, sign-in is performed manually in a login window (e.g. via a Google account). The session information created in the process (e.g. cookies) is kept locally on your device so that you don't have to sign in again on every fetch.
The retrieved balances, your payout thresholds and app settings (e.g. refresh interval, sorting) are stored locally on your device.
To manage any trial period, only an anonymous timestamp of the first installation is stored locally. No personal data is processed in doing so.
When a service reaches its payout threshold, the app can show a local notification. These notifications are generated exclusively on your device; no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
To display balances, EarnTracker establishes a direct connection to the service you added, on your behalf, and signs you in there. In doing so, your credentials are transmitted directly to the respective provider – just as would happen when logging in via the browser. These providers are independent third parties with their own privacy policies, over which we have no influence.
These services include, among others, eBesucher, Honeygain, EarnApp, Traffmonetizer, Klamm.de, Questler, Rewardy.io and others. Please refer to the respective privacy policies of these providers. Processing takes place on the basis of your input and to fulfil the purpose you requested (retrieving your balance).
EarnTracker may occasionally show short notes about individual services (e.g. in the event of temporary restrictions). For this, the app fetches a simple text file from www.earntrackerapp.com at regular intervals.
During this fetch, no account or usage data is transmitted from you. As with any request to an internet address, the server may, for technical reasons, record your IP address as well as the date and time of the request in server log files (see section 7). The news feature is optional; if the server is unreachable, the app continues to work without restriction.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in informing you about relevant changes (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To understand how many users are currently actively using the app, EarnTracker sends a short, silent "ping" to our server during the automatic news fetch. A randomly generated, anonymous device identifier (UUID) and the currently used system language (e.g. "en" or "de") are transmitted.
This data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally, your credentials, or your balances. It is used exclusively to aggregate the number of active users worldwide in real time. The transmitted ping data is automatically and completely deleted from our server after 40 minutes. No profiling or permanent storage takes place.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the purely statistical recording of active app usage (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you access this website and when the news file is fetched, the hosting provider automatically processes information that your device transmits. This typically includes:
This data serves exclusively for technical operation, security and stability and is not combined with other data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).
Apart from the anonymous live statistics described in section 6, EarnTracker contains no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising networks and no third-party tracking SDKs. No usage profiles are created and no data is processed or sold for advertising purposes.
The app is downloaded through the provider Paddle. When you purchase and download the app, Paddle processes the associated data on its own responsibility in accordance with Paddle’s Privacy Policy. We receive sales and statistical data from Paddle that can be used to identify individual persons.
The data stored locally on your device remains until you remove the respective service from the app, reset the app data or uninstall the app. You have full control over this at all times. Server log files are deleted after the usual periods of the hosting operation.
Credentials are stored in your operating system's encrypted credential store (macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager). Connections to the services and to the news server are made via the usually encrypted connections (HTTPS) provided by the respective provider. Please note that the overall security of your device also depends on your own protective measures (e.g. device password, up-to-date system version).
EarnTracker is intended for adults and is not designed for use by children. Data of children is not knowingly processed.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP), you have, within the respective applicable scope, in particular the following rights:
Since most data is stored exclusively and locally on your device, you can view, change or delete it yourself at any time – for example by removing a service or uninstalling the app. For matters beyond this, you can reach us at support(at)earntrackerapp.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); within the EU the respective competent data protection authority.
We adapt this privacy policy when the app or the legal framework changes. The current version published on this page applies in each case. You can find the date of the last update at the top under "Last updated".
If you have any questions about data protection, you can reach us at any time at support(at)earntrackerapp.com.
This privacy policy applies to the EarnTracker apps for macOS and Windows and to the website www.earntrackerapp.com.
